We have been rather quiet since the November election. We have been at times disturbed, disappointed, and even angry, as you probably have felt also. The fact that 60 million Americans voted against our position underscored how far this country has moved to the Socialist left. We stood for reduced government, secured borders, and reasonable taxation and we believe in the basic Tea Party slogan, “We are Taxed Enough Already.” Unfortunately by a slim majority Americans chose to accept higher taxes, amnesty for illegal aliens, and the largest expansion of US government in history.
During the past 2 ½ years we brought in speakers from around the country, exposing the left’s strategy over and over again. We exposed the Sharia law acceptance in Michigan and elsewhere. We discussed the decaying Constitution and the Bill of Rights that the left is seemingly dedicated to making irrelevant. We watched the President abuse his powers issuing “Executive Orders” instead of abiding by the lawmaking power of the House. We shouted that Obamacare would destroy our healthcare system… and the list goes on and on.
Republicans turned on Republicans and found fault with their individual traits, and allowed the Democratic policymakers to pick up the pieces. In the end the deceased voted, more people voted than were registered, and the government resisted voter ID policies. While it’s trite to say, the truth is the “wolf is guarding the hen house”!
We feel the fight should continue and we pledge individually to follow the issues closely, but at this time our group effort in planning the meetings, newsletters, emails and regular communications with you will be ending for now.
We are confident there will be a future time when we will organize again.
In the meantime we thank you for your interest and loyalty to the Mahwah Tea Party. May God bless you and keep you safe, and God bless America.
